Looking for a Jobber alternative? What to check first

Facts checked 2026-10-06

Short answer: stay with Jobber if you are a one-person shop that needs the cheapest tool, you need QuickBooks sync today, or you work across several trades. Consider Sprinklerly if you are an irrigation contractor whose paperwork is about zones, controllers and backflow certification, not just jobs and invoices.

Before you switch from Jobber, check these

1. Export your customer list from Jobber. Sprinklerly imports CSV files, with saved column-mapping templates and an option to update existing customers on re-import.
2. List the features you use every week. Sprinklerly does not offer QuickBooks sync, payroll, live GPS tracking or automatic route optimization.
3. Ask Jobber what a cancellation or data export involves, and whether your plan carries an onboarding fee you would pay again elsewhere.
4. Run both side by side for a week during the slow season, not the week before startups begin.

What Jobber does better

• General field-service breadth: online booking, quoting, invoicing and payments on every plan, which suits many trades at once.
• QuickBooks sync (listed on Connect and above), SMS messaging (Grow), job costing and custom reports (higher plans).
• A lower entry price for one person: Core at $29 per month for 1 user.
• A large, mature product with a long track record across many trades.

What Sprinklerly offers instead

• Irrigation-specific records: customers, properties and a controller, zone and component tree with warranty flags, rather than generic job notes.
• Backflow tester certification and test reports built in. Jobber is a general tool and we did not find backflow management on its pricing page on 2026-10-06.
• Geofenced service-area days with a per-window capacity that cannot be overbooked, on a map.

Cost context

Jobber lists Core at $29 per month for 1 user, Connect from $99, Grow from $149 and Plus from $399 per month for 1 user (billed annually), with additional users at $29 per month each and 5-, 10- and 15-user steps priced higher. Its pricing page also shows monthly and one-year-commitment billing, and a 14-day trial of Grow with no credit card. Source: Jobber pricing page, checked 2026-10-06.
