General
Sprinklerly is operations software for irrigation and sprinkler contractors: customer and property records with a full irrigation-asset tree (controllers, zones, components), geofenced service-area scheduling with a real interactive map and capacity limits, route planning with live drive times, work order dispatch and multi-technician crew assignment, backflow-test compliance tracking, insurance/COI document delivery with real generated PDFs, price-book-driven estimates, and reporting/CSV export, all in one place.
You define a service area as a circle around a center point, with a radius, a date, arrival windows, and a capacity per window. A customer's property can only be booked into a service area day if it actually falls within that radius, so a booking can never be scheduled for a stop your route doesn't cover, and a day can never be overbooked past its stated capacity.
No, and you don't have to re-enter it by hand. Sprinklerly imports your existing customer list from a CSV file, and if your spreadsheet uses its own column headers instead of ours, you can save that mapping once and reuse it on every future import.
Yes. A work order can have any number of assigned crew members, with exactly one designated crew lead at a time. Assigning someone to a job notifies them immediately.
Yes. The route planning page lets a dispatcher pick a service area day and reorder its stops, showing real drive distance and time between each leg. It also flags overlapping arrival windows, a leg that doesn't leave enough travel buffer before the next window starts, a leg that's a major outlier compared to the rest of the route, and a stop scheduled outside the day's configured hours. Ordering is dispatcher-reviewed, not fully automatic.
No. The service area map lets you draw the circle directly on a real map by clicking to set the center and dragging to size the radius, or type in an address to center the map there first. Direct coordinate entry is still available too, for anyone who prefers it.
They record a readiness check, for example water shut off or the panel isn't accessible, with required notes explaining why. That routes the work order to an office reviewer, who decides whether to waive the visit or note a fee, rather than leaving the job in limbo.
Yes, that's the whole point. Generic field-service tools treat backflow compliance, crew assignment, and price-book estimating as afterthoughts. Sprinklerly is built around them from the start.
Compliance and estimates
Yes. It tracks each technician's backflow-tester certification and its expiration date, records every test result against a specific property, and automatically sends renewal reminders as a property's next required test comes due.
No. Recording a test requires the assigned tester to hold a current, non-expired certification on file. An expired or missing certification is rejected before the test record can be saved, not caught afterward.
Yes. Keep your certificates of insurance and licenses on file with their expiration dates, and send a customer a compliant packet in one click. The packet is generated as a real PDF and delivered as a secure download link, not just described in the email body. An expired document is automatically left out of what's represented as current in that packet, though it stays logged in your own records either way.
Yes. Sending a backflow test report to a jurisdiction or property contact generates an actual PDF report with the property, device, result, tester certification number, and next due date, attached as a secure download link alongside the email.
You maintain a shared price book of named items and unit prices. When a technician finds something that needs repair, an estimate line item can reference a price-book item by name and quantity, or be entered as a fully custom line. Either way, the amount is captured as a snapshot at the moment the estimate is created, so a later change to the price book never retroactively changes a quote a customer already approved.
Yes. If a component in your irrigation-asset records has a warranty end date on file, any finding logged against its zone automatically comes back flagged as under warranty, computed at the moment you look, not from a stale cached value.

Getting started & security
Creating an account takes about a minute. From there, importing your customer list and setting up your first service area day are both self-serve steps in the app, typically well under an hour for a single-crew shop.
Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Sensitive property access notes are encrypted at rest. Every connection to Sprinklerly happens over HTTPS, and staff access is scoped to your own business's account, with optional two-factor authentication for any staff member who wants it.
