Sprinkler season days calculator: how many crew-days will your blowouts or startups take?
Updated 2026-10-08
Enter how many systems you have to service and how long one stop takes, and get the number of crew-days, the calendar days with your crews, and a finish date. It is free, needs no signup, and the numbers never leave your browser. The defaults are placeholders, not an industry benchmark: replace them with timings from your own crews.

How it is calculated
- Minutes per stop = zones × minutes per zone + setup + drive.
- Stops per crew per day = productive minutes ÷ minutes per stop, rounded down.
- Crew-days = systems ÷ stops per crew per day, rounded up. Calendar working days = crew-days ÷ crews, rounded up.
- The finish date counts only your working days, with the working week starting on Monday (5 days = Monday to Friday). Holidays and weather days are not modeled: add a buffer.
The reasoning behind each input, and what moves it most, is in how many sprinkler blowouts can one crew do in a day. Related: how to group service calls by neighborhood and how to stop overbooking arrival windows.
Turn the plan into booked days
Sprinklerly lets you create a service area day on a map, with arrival windows and a capacity per window that cannot be booked past, even by two people at once, then reorder the day's stops and see real drive times between them (route planning is on the Growing Crews plan). It does not optimize routes automatically. Sprinklerly is free during early access for contractors who sign up by December 31, 2026 (no credit card).

Does this calculator send my numbers anywhere?
No. The arithmetic runs in your browser and nothing is sent or saved.
Are the default numbers a benchmark?
No. They are placeholders to show how the arithmetic works. Replace them with timings from your own crews.
